Hi Michael – I’m sorry I’m slow to get over here, but I just want to thank you for including my link in your round up. This is a great resource and I’m thrilled to be included among folks that I admire, such as Michael Hyatt, Jeff Goins, Brian Clark, etc. This is a great resource for anyone working to improve their blogging efforts!

Bookmarked!  I bought #8 on building a better blog some time ago and it made a big difference for me.  It is great that there are so many (mostly FREE) resources out there.

Yep – so many unselfish bloggers!

Loved it, Michael. I enjoyed the headline information. I have a good source for headlines but saw some ideas that caught my eye. If you have time, take a quick peek at my new blog I just began the 1st of January and give me some quick feedback. I would sure appreciate it. How long has this blog been up?

Sorry if I wasn’t supposed to leave my blog link. I didn’t make a link so I assume links are off. I apologize.

It seems your link did not show up because you ended it with .con rather than .com. You should be able to edit it.

Enjoyed the resources – I’ve seen #7 before – and it’s a great resource – Hyatt continues to mention his secret sauce is a David Garfinkel book – and it is very useful.

My best tip is to write everyday. Even if you don’t have specific content you’re writing – just write. Write about your day, your drive, your walk, a conversation you were a part of or heard, your thoughts on a subject, a person you’d like to meet – just write.

    Keep ‘em coming!

Love your tip – write every day. I’ve heard of David Garfinkel’s book, Headlines that Make You Rich, but have not read it. Thanks for the ideas!

Garfinkel has some articles in other books too. Some people don’t like his style – because he takes what works and teaches you how to use it. I’ve found it helpful, and like the understanding behind it. I have read a few of his articles, but haven’t finished the book yet. So far, I like what I’ve read.

The writing stuff every day sounds silly and pointless, but it’s a great habit former, and you’d be surprised what pops out of your pen/pencil/keyboard even when writing about “nothing”.

          Good stuff!

Hyatt says if you write daily the blog begins to catch on faster and builds platform quicker. I think it’s fine if you have a plan like blogging a book and can write pertinent posts. That often. I just love to write, even if it does cost me sleep! Lol

          • http://www.michaelnichols.org/about Michael Nichols

I’m the same way – most of the time.

          • http://sparkvoice.wordpress.com/ DS

I find that writing provides me a much needed positive release of energy and thoughts.  And in many ways it actually helps me rest easier – but know what you mean about the sleep!

The same is true for me, David. In fact it’s one of the reasons I started this blog. I wrote about it in my post 3 Reasons I Started This Blog – http://www.michaelnichols.org/3-reasons-i-started-a-blog.
